CHARACTERISTICS

One of the most important characteristics of geotextile is its continuous surface, which is used to separate two different types of soil or material layers. Its fibrous structure enables the distribution of concentrated loads. In addition, it acts as a reinforcing element and resists tensile forces occurring within the soil mass.

Geotextile can also be used for filtration purposes due to its filtering properties. While preventing the passage of solid particles, it remains sufficiently permeable to liquids (water) and gases (air). Under certain conditions, these products can transport significant amounts of water along their surface and can therefore also function as drainage elements.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Drainage:
Geotextile should be installed between the gravel bed surrounding the drainage pipes and the surrounding soil. It prevents soil particles from penetrating and clogging the permeable gravel bed while filtering fine particles washed out of the surrounding soil.

Pavements, separation and reinforcement beneath roads:
Geotextile should be installed between compacted soil and the crushed stone layer. This prevents the layers from mixing, facilitates the drainage of precipitation and reduces settlement of the paving surface in areas exposed to traffic.

Protective layer:
Geotextile provides protection for existing floor coverings and furniture during renovation work. It can be used, for example, during painting or minor construction and installation work.

Garden pond construction:
Before installation, roots and sharp stones must be removed from the pond bed. Geotextile should be laid over the prepared bed, followed by the pond liner. To provide additional protection for the pond liner, it is recommended to cover it with another layer of geotextile.

Planting flowers:
First fill the bottom of the planter with coarse gravel, then cover it with geotextile, allowing the fabric to extend up to the edges of the planter. Add potting soil over the geotextile.

Horticulture:
One of the most important functions of geotextile in horticulture is to prevent weed growth. It is also used to prevent different types of soil from mixing. Thanks to its excellent thermal insulation properties, it helps protect against dehydration in summer and frost in winter.

NOTE

If the product is excessively exposed to sunlight or moisture, ageing may occur in the form of colour changes, but this does not affect its functional properties.
