KeramikFix 100
Cement-based adhesive for ceramic tiles
Product ID: 62401001 - KeramikFix 100Cement-based adhesive for absorbent ceramic tiles, suitable for absorbent substrates and gypsum plasterboards. Provides good adhesion of tiles to concrete, cement renders, stone and brick on interior and exterior surfaces. Recommended for bonding absorbent tiles with a maximum side length of 60 cm.
• Non-slip
• Good adhesion to concrete, cement renders, stone and brick
• For absorbent substrates, interior and exterior applications
• For absorbent ceramic tiles up to 60 cm
• For layer thicknesses up to 10 mm
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:
The substrate must be level, solid, load-bearing, clean, free from grease and dust, and all existing coatings must be physically removed beforehand. Before applying the adhesive, the surface must be treated with an appropriate primer depending on the type of substrate to which the tiles are to be bonded.
ADHESIVE PREPARATION:
Mix Keramik Fix 100 with 5.0–6.0 l of water to the required consistency using a mixer at a maximum speed of 500 rpm. Allow to stand for 10 minutes, then mix again.
ADHESIVE APPLICATION:
To apply Keramik Fix 100 to the substrate, use an appropriate notched trowel selected according to the tile dimensions. Apply a thin layer of adhesive to the substrate with the flat side of the trowel, then comb the adhesive with the notched side. This ensures that a minimum of 80% of the tile surface is covered with adhesive for interior applications and gypsum plasterboards, and a minimum of 95% for exterior applications.
BONDING CERAMIC TILES:
When bonding ceramic tiles where one side of the tile exceeds 40 cm, a thin layer of adhesive must also be applied to the back of the tile using the flat side of the trowel. For tiles exceeding 60 cm, use a notched trowel with 4 mm teeth on the back of the tile to achieve 100% adhesive coverage when laying the tiles.
