Product ID: OLIWAX decking oilOLIWAX Decking oil is a finishing coating based on natural oils, without solvents, intended primarily for the protection of wooden floor coverings (decking) that are installed in exteriors. The special formula allows a high degree of protection of the wooden surface exposed to the effects of the weather, such as rain, moisture and sun, which is why it is the ideal protection for floor coverings in yards, cafe gardens, bathrooms, around swimming pools in saunas... It is also recommended for the protection of garden furniture. It is especially suitable for more resistant types of wood such as pine, teak, larch and oak. Wood coated with Decking Oil does not absorb water and is resistant to the harmful effects of UV radiation.
PREPARATION AND APPLICATION: Before applying the preparation, the wooden surface must be dry, well sanded and dusted. For sanding, we recommend sandpaper with a grain size of 150. Apply the oil with a lint-free cloth, so that a layer remains on the coated surface. Wait for the wood to absorb the oil for 15 to 20 minutes, then remove the excess with a dry cloth. It is very important that all oil is removed from the treated surface. Wood is well protected when it stops absorbing oil. It is preferable to repeat the procedure 24 hours after applying the first layer, and in the case of soft types of wood, several times. Low temperature and increased air humidity significantly extend the drying period. The oil should not be applied in conditions of extreme exposure to solar radiation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Wooden surfaces treated with Decking oil are maintained by lightly sanding and oiling. This should be done when the tree starts to absorb water (usually once or twice a year). The maximum allowed value of VOC content for this product is A/i 500g/L. This product contains 0g/L VOC.
CONSUMPTION: Consumption (depending on the type of wood, its processing and the method of oil application) ranges from 30ml/m2 to 100ml/m2.
STORAGE: Store the product in a well-closed original packaging. Do not expose to direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. The remains of the packaging, as well as the consumables used to apply the oil, should be disposed of as municipal waste. Be sure to wet it with water before putting it away, because at extremely high temperatures it may spontaneously combust!
