Product ID: 62540000 - Putz PrimerPutz Primer is a coarse base coat (primer) based on acrylic binders, designed for priming exterior and interior wall surfaces before the application of all types of thin-layer decorative paints and renders. It equalises the absorbency and structure of the substrate, improves adhesion, ensures a strong bond and provides a uniform shade of the final finish.
PREPARATION AND APPLICATION
The substrate must be solid, dust-free, dry and free from frost. Thoroughly mix Putz Primer in its original packaging using a mixer and dilute with 10% water. New cement or lime-cement renders must be allowed to dry for at least 28 days, while thermal insulation render must dry for 5–7 days under normal weather conditions (at a temperature of approximately +20°C and a relative air humidity of 65%).
Apply by roller, paintbrush or spray gun in 2 or more coats, depending on the porosity of the treated surface. The drying time before applying the finishing render is 24 hours. The temperature of the air, material and substrate during application must be between +5°C and +30°C. Clean any stained areas and tools with water immediately after use.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Tinting: Using a tinting system, the primer can be tinted to match the shade of the finishing render, thereby ensuring a uniform and consistent appearance of the finished surface.
CONSUMPTION
0.20–0.25 kg/m², depending on the roughness and absorbency of the substrate.
STORAGE
Store the product in its original, factory-sealed packaging, in a dry and well-ventilated area at a temperature between +5°C and +30°C. Protect from direct sunlight.
